Sorry. My question is.. How do I approach my Doctor? What do I need to go with to be prepared?

I was scared too. I got everything in writing (why I think I have Asperger's, along with prinouts of my AQ test etc.). I also took printouts of info that the National Autistic Society sent me. Then I simply said it to the doctor. I had a letter prepared in case I couldn't speak but he was very relaxed and understanding and resolved to get something done. I haven't heard anything yet but its only been a couple of weeks. I hope you have a good experience too if you do decide to speak to a doctor.

Thank you for the practical pointers :-) I will definately take a letter, and work out what paperwork I could take too. A good starting point for me.

You should talk to friends and family members that are really supportive that will be able to help you out and give you good advice. You might be able to pick someone that you trust to go with you to your doctor's appointment. Good luck.

I have a friend I've known for a long time who could approach and maybe she's come with me. I'll see. Thanks. Good advice.
