You got your Aspies such as myself unemployed no friends/social life screwed up almost getting fired and upsetting my Psychology teacher etc. While others are in College following there special interest trying for a degree in it and are succeeding. I wish we could all succeed. :-(

No. If every aspie were like me, the world would be a mess. There be no nurses or anything. We all need to be different.

I wish all aspies be at the same level as me but I would not wish for them to be the same.

I don't wish that more aspies were the same. I think it's good that we're all different from one another. If we were all the same, WrongPlanet would be a boring place to come to. 8)

I don't wish Aspies to be all the same. Being so different, I think, is a part of havinig AS. Kind of like everyone's different, but Aspies are much more different in a good kind of way.

I wish just one other person was like me, so I didn't have to get into arguments all the time.
I was a bit disappointed to find that when I met Craig Nicholls from The Vines that we were still different. Don't get me wrong, great guy but I wish I had more to relate to him, beside meltdowns at concerts.
Difference can be a good thing at times though. WP would be boring if we were all the same, but we'd have less arguments. It's also interesting to see what other peoples interests are.

I just wish there were some kind of place located down here in the South for us to meet.

Wish we were the same? Heck I wish I could meet another.

I very much appreciate the diversity here too. We are all human beings. and there is great richness and variety in that alone.

To the OP: I know it can be hard at times. Do not be disheartened and please know there are people who read your OP and relate and respect your frankness and your honesty. Take care and do me a favour. dO ONE THING. JUST ONE thing___ BEFORE THE END OF THE DAY DO ONE NICE THING FOR YOURSELF - JUST FOR YOU. ONE THING FOR YOU SO YOU KNOW YOU ARE VALUABLE AND IMPORTANT AND SPECIAL. DO IT CONSCIOUSLY. :) :) :)

I wish more would succeed, because I believe we have a lot of potential which is often wasted and that's very sad.

However, everyone being the same will be crap!

Thanks. I was necessarily referring to being the same more like you put it as more could succeed. :-) I also don't want everyone to be the same. IMO I agree with if we were all the same the world would be a boring place and yet NT's want us to be more like them and change are behaviors I guess they don't follow that philosophy as IMO I think more people should.

You make a good point about NTs there actually, especially since the world seems to pretend to encourage everyone to be different and be themselves, except not really, that's all complete dream world crap. If I act like myself the world looks down on me and I get shouted at by my mum. My own mum won't let me be myself. The reality of these things is horrible sometimes, but it just goes to show how crappy and hypocritical our world is.

I wish we were all in the gutter. How cozy that would be! :D Seriously though, I don't think it would be a good idea, all aspies the same. We all have our special talents and weaknesses, and most, if not all of us will eventually find their little niche in society.

Yeah, it's not the Aspies being different (and functioning at different levels) that's the problem; it's that some of us have advantages and support that others don't have; some have met people who enjoy hanging out with them and others haven't; some have landed in supportive environments and others in environments that are pure torture; some have been taught important skills and others don't even know what they need to learn. I don't want us to be all the same; I want us all to have decent opportunities to make something of ourselves, and be accepted. For some of us, reaching our potential means becoming college professors and leading a department full of NTs; for others, it means dependable support people, self-determination, and a few volunteer hours. But whatever we are made to do, I wish we didn't have such unreasonable obstacles in our way that it becomes impossible to do it. You know the whole "pursuit of happiness" thing? That's what I want to be available to everybody.
