http://www.cnn.com/2010/SHOWBIZ/Movies/ ... index.html I remember when I first developed my Lion King special intrest I was depressed that I couldn't actualy interact with the characters and live in the Pridelands. I knew it was a cartoon and living with an interacting with the characters would be impossible but I was still depressed that I couldn't interact with Simba and crew. I had no real friends and in a way the Lion King cast was my friends. I soon discovered other ways to engage in my special intrest such as art, writing and such. Is it possible this man has AS and Avatar is his special intrest and just hasn't found a way to engage it yet?

I don't know if that would be specific to AS... but i know that i've felt the way you describe many times. When i was younger most of my special interests were movies or tv shows, and i wanted to live them and become a character.

I think I remember hearing somewhere about James Cameron having it.
