Hello, My name is Remi and i am a female teen who is 99.99% Sure i have aspergers sydrome (i follow all of the syntoms perfectly) however im not sure about the obsession part. Does an obsession with japanese stuff count? It started out with an obsession for manga and now it has somehow stread to an extreame obsession for anything japanese. As you may have guessed My name isnt even Remi, i just like to use japanese names. I also now know over 500 words in the japanese grammer and when im on youtube im pretty sure i probably subscribed to all the japanese/japanese culture channels and people. Oh he japanese culture! I practice cooking thier food and talking in the manner they talk in. Like the bowing for respect thing. I would rather spend hours on the computer researching the japanese culture than hang out with the few friends i have.
(whitch is why i get occational heath problems from sitting infront of the computer to long.) So anyway, do you think a japanese Obsession would count as an obsession in aspergers?

My obsession with Japan started from getting into anime. Now I have an interest in the culture and stuff, though not as bad as you! It is still secondary to my main interest, which is (PC) games + game theory.

Also what is this

Is that even possible? :?:

This is interesting, my friend's wee sister is obsessed with Japanese culture. I don't think her mum knows what to do with her. So, you are not alone:)

I have an interest in Japan too. While it's not as intense as my interest in Iceland, I used to be fascinated with anime, then the general culture and language, now I'm on manga and food.

Stay with it. Your obsession can be turned to good use and it could be profitable for you.

My friend, you are certainly not alone in your obsession with all things Japanese. I know an awful lot about the whole anime subculture, as well as various individual anime/manga. I bought a bunch of books on the Japanese language for my birthday, but I've been too lazy to study. It's been my lifelong dream to go to Japan; I feel if I can go there at least once, I can die happy. :D

By the way, welcome to WrongPlanet! Or should I say, irasshai! I'd have typed that in hiragana, but I have the Japanese language pak disabled at the moment because it kept switching from romaji to kana unexpectedly.

Yes. They scare me, desu. Their true and slavish weeabooness is just too much for even a mild Japanophile like me to take, desu.

Desu.

I have an obsession with Honda Civics, it started after I bought mine, and am slowly turning it into a JDM replica( Japanese Domestic Market). I dunno if that counts or not, but I have even put a motor in it that was only sold in Japanese model Civics...

I would have the obsession with their technology and their food... Especially anime/manga mostly.... My drawings now are now mainly based on manga and have a huge influence over them.

I would read about it for hours in the library, sometimes used to be a little late for my lessons because of it... I guess I should pretty much count that as my guilty plessure.

It seems like the Japanese design things for Americans. I can fit comfortably in a 1st Generation Scion xB which is the 1st Generation JDM Toyota bB body and I can fit into an American Brand compact car as comfortably.
