I'm nearly 22 and over the last few years have noticed (actually to my delight) That in general I have a quite dominent feminine side. I know there is all that stuff about aspies and extreme male brain etc. But in my case I'd actually say that with the exception of my normal (for aspies) social skills (ie far from perfect) my personality, interests and mannerisms are quite feminine. I've actually had several people ask me if I was sure I wasn't gay (both jokingly and seriously) (I am Straight BTW) My current group of friends (friends hmm... what are those?) are (with 1 or 2 exceptions) all LGBTQ which seems to have to do with my feminine traits since I tend to end up attracting LGBTQ people over straight people. But I digress so now onto the point! So I was wondering are any of you (male aspies) out there in the same boat(ie have a dominent feminine side)?

Well, do you feel sexually attracted to males, females, both, or neither?

I can't comment much further since I fit my societal gender profile.

thank you for pointing out that missing bit. as a couple of my friends put it I am "the gayest straight man alive".

My very good ASish friend would fall into this category..he is attracted only to females, but he also sorta feels like he is a girl..he likes to cross dress and stuff like that...He tends to be kinda attracted to ectomorphic lesbians...anywhoo..It took me a long time of knowing him and having fun dressing him up before I could figure out what his gender preference was:*)
He seems to have a foot in each world...he is really into army surplus..and rugged utilitarian stuff..and he also likes really feminine colors...and such...He always acts slightly effeminate...but there is also a rugged quality to him...he has been this way since he was a child...

It is attractive to me...I was a sorta androgynous child...I am not asexual, but there are very few people that I really find attractive...his femininity/ambiguity is definitely a plus...

He is very silly and childlike...like me...and left-handed...like me...nice to meet an adult who is as silly as I am..and he is a year and a half older than me...

I believe that there are quite a few guys on the spectrum who have gender identity issues...according to past threads...

My SO.
He's actually rather gender-queer. It's something I love about him.

I'm pretty effeminate, but I'm gay.

Had to look that up on Google to see what it was!

When it comes to colors for my living spaces I like the softer, brighter, sort of spring-like colors and patterns over the stereotypical "man-style" hues and patterns.
Guess that's a feminine side strong place, eh?

And if you make a mess in my kitchen, clean it up or else!
There ain't a snowflake's chance in Havana that my place will ever appear as cover photo on those homemaking magazines, but if you mess up my kitchen . . .
I cook in the kitchen, and enjoy it; I paint models in the kitchen; I solder train parts in the kitchen; and there's stuff on the counters; but they, the sink, and the range and oven, had better damn well be left almost as clean as if they were never used !
And if El gato ever gets caught on the counter he's gonna earn a real fast trip to the floor. Real fast.

I was very feminine when I was teen, I'm far more in the usual stereotype now. Many people thinked I was gay.

Umm... not really. I my case I not only like lighter "fluffier" colors but also my interests are more feminine, very into romance anything, scented candles, fluffy pillows, actually more or less name something that is considered feminine and you can almost guarentee that I like it a lot! I also attempt to be empathetic and in tune to others emotions but that is by far not my strongsuit. According to most of my friends my mannerisms are feminine as well. I almost always sit with my lowerlegs crossed which since recently I've discovered I like wearing skirts is good since you have to sit that way in a skirt to prevent anyone from seeing up it. But if I wanted to list everything I'd need one of my friends here next to me telling me everything I've missed.

Yeah..my friend is not really one for emapthy..His personality is sorta feminine but with key stereotypical female traits missing....which is kinda the way I am...He can be "bitchy" and primadonna-esque at times..and his mood will cycle, so it will seem like he is PMSy...and then I have seen him occasionally get emotional like a female...including during meltdowns when his voice will go very high and he cry/yells.....

He fashioned a "combat skirt" out of a pair of army pants, and he used to always wear it when he went out...he doesn't usually wear it these days, and that is why I refer to it in past tense..but um...it is still one of his trademark clothing items..He loves clothes, and is a bit of a clothes horse...he looks really good in costumes..because he is unusual looking..he looks like a cross between a Vulcan and an elf...and he is unusually small-framed for a guy..and has a very slender waist..so he wears a lot of clothes way better than girls can wear them...
He has a sorta unique physiology...thin wiry frame...slender waist, big shapely knobby masuline hands, but with the more feminine digit ratio....he is also bald on top, and started balding at an early age..which would indicate an excess of testosterone on some level, I would imagine..He also looks slightly Asian, or racially ambiguous with high cheekbones and a deep skin tone and exotic-looking multi-colored hazel eyes
..even though his family is supposedly very middle-american...this might come from some Native American blood somewhere down the line that managed to concentrate itself in him..and skip other family members...it just serves to contribute to his vibe of "other-worldly-ness"...

sorry to babble about him...

I have joked that he is the closest to a female friend that I am really able to have...

(he is the main guy in my Puppetrina videos...on the Youtube Puppetrina page, he'd be the guy with the cheek dots and ladybug wings, tutu and sombrero... )

It's sad that a lot of people can't accept beauty in a male.

I very much approve of this thread. <3
