I was just thinking the number of autistic people has grown over the years and is only going to increase by people getting together since it's in the genes. They way that technology is today is amazing compared to 10-20 years ago. Did yall ever watch "The Jetsons" and wonder how life would be in the future well I think we are slowly moving on to that type of life where everything is controlled by machines and electronics. They say that autistic people act "robotic" well by the year 3000 i think most people might just act like us. It's like something new comes out every week. The computer has really tooken over this generation. It just seems that 2 and 2 goes together like a puzzle. Just a weird thought i wanted to share with you all.

I think that would be a very cool thing to see. I'd like to be reincarnated around that time, just to see what it would be like. Imagine what WrongPlanet would be like, if it's still around, and the Internet, as well. Imagine what the computers of the year 3000 would look like. 8)

I kind of doubt it--autistics don't reproduce at a great enough rate. I think we'll remain a minority.

I do think eventually it'll happen though prolly well after 3000 but the future is here you can get thousand's of applications on a cellphone, we got cars that don't even burn fuel but powered by solar power, have face to face conversations on ustream, cd's are halfway out the door as mp3 players taken over, what they gonna think of next?

Autistics are also born from two NTs.

Also, I don't we'll be around then. I don't quite believe in the 2012 crap, but hell. I wouldn't be surprised if we have a SkyNet-like problem on our hands eventually, with the rate that technology is advancing.

No. In five to seven years, barring some catastrophe in 2012, the collective hard-on for Aspergers will drift to something else like Tourette's Syndrome or Huntington's Disease. Or maybe even Acromegaly.

Sir, I love your choice of words and wholeheartedly agree.

It's more likely that there will be nobody with autism or AS by 3000 AD, but still not all that likely.

Autism is a hard-wired thing in the brain. It's like color synesthesia, and other neurological issues of the like.

I learn of so many people who think they are autistic because they did not learn as a child from their parents how to interact with others, and it makes me mad. It makes me mad because those who have the ABILITY to interact with others do not bother to try and learn. They are LAZY. They just throw their hands up and say, "I'm autistic! That's it!" They don't even bother getting tested. They just go on, and self diagnose themselves as autistic, and live "autistic" ways, and do "autistic" things, and I think it's completely crap.

That would seem pretty interesting actually as a matter of fact? But then, wouldn't you think that the world could become a weird place?

One thing WOULD improve if all people had AS;

-Few crime scenes or no crime at all

Like in Monaco :D

Back on topic, yes I do think it's a possibility. As technology advanced, Aspies will be more in demand too.

By the year three thousand we'll all be dead, so who cares?

Actually... seriously, I doubt the human race will last that long. I don't just mean we, as in this generation... I mean the whole world will have passed away.
