Now that Lancet has retracted the Autism/Vaccine link, as seen here:

could the next step be a better understanding of, and more effective ways to cope with AS issues?

Since there is such a large gap between the study and its retraction, this will be perceived as a conspiracy by Big Pharma to crush The Only Man Who Told The Truth. The bogus data from that study has taken on a life of its own and not only has it solidified itself as fact in a lot of peoples' minds, it has unfortunately made its way into some published books on autism and those books will be read far more times than this retraction news story. It's unfortunate that it took 12 years for this to happen. If it had happened earlier, a lot of children would have received vaccinations that they really do need.

I think that all children should get their required vaccinations, and that it's time for parents to stop making a big deal out of nothing.

vaccinations or not, its some good news.

I will be honest though and state that diseases (as in the potentially deadly/deadly sort) are natures way of curbing population growth that has gotten out of hand. Overpopulation of the human race is a big concern of mine, since I view it as already happening.

I don't think it will. I'm not totally against looking for a cure for those that have severe autism. I don't think anyone with AS can say it shouldn't be cured, because your symptoms though similar are lot more mild. I can put myself in a parents shoes and see how autism is from their point of view.

That is my opinion.

although i cant really put myself In the parents shoes, since i completely lack that ability in the first place, I will state I do agree with you.

speaking of which I have read something about medical marijuana could be of use in easing autism 'symptoms'
