I, too, feel your pain, sir. Computer games were one of my largest obsessions, now I'm lost. I can't seem to find another...besides clinging to the thoughts of others. If my obsession is trying to be more NT, it has to work, right?

I was obsessed with computer games.. But still look for one that can keep me interested. Eventually I realise that the games keep me from doing important things I should be doing.

I've switched to consoles as well, only because it's becoming impossible to get a computer put together that can run all the newer games.

I remember all these times that I used to go to the department stores just to play those computer games. And those computer game show. The future of computer games was eciting. The graphic capabilities of the computers at that time seem amazing. Today however I don't give a toss.

I don't plan on giving up gaming anytime soon. It's been a good source of happy escapism for me since I was about 10, and although I don't get as enthusiastic about them as I used to, every so often there's still a standout game that makes an impression.

It always saddens me a little bit to hear people set aside games because they're a waste of time, or because they feel that they're too old to be allowed to enjoy them. To me that's not so different to giving up reading books, or deciding that movies aren't worth watching anymore. I don't derive happiness from socializing like most people, so as a source of entrainment these things are pretty important to me.

There is nothing stopping you from going back and playing the old games.

It may not be "Wow, these graphics are so realistic." anymore, but there's quite a few games that run even better today than they did back then, and every once in a while I still stumble upon a game that makes me think "Wow, this was so ahead of its time."
