Why is it some situations I'm mostly comfortable with it, and others I can't do it? It can be such a subtle difference such as them sitting down and me standing (it's harder for me) or vice versa (easier for me).
Then sometimes I can't think while looking in their eyes....And another day I might stare deeply into their eyes while thinking....And then another time during the day manage completely normal eye contact.
And anyone else ever get "frozen" by eye contact? It sort of catches you off guard, and you can't look away?
I hate this irregularity. Sometimes I have normal eye contact, and other times looking at them makesmy neck freeze and shiver, and I feel panic.
Is anyone else's symptoms this unstable? It happens for other symptoms as well. Like my tolerance of noises.
It's super annoying. Since it's always shifting, I can never tell if my symptoms are authentic aspergers ones or not.

Nope, I can never make eye contact unless I force myself.

I hardly ever look into people's eyes because it feels unnatural and I can't concentrate on what they're saying because I'm concentrating on looking into their eyes. I never noticed it before I got interested in autism about a year ago. Then I made a note to myself to look into people's eyes and when I did I realized that I had never done it before. It was creepy, and it still feels wrong to do it.

My noise tolerance can vary depending on circumstances though, but there are some noises that I can't stand at any time.

For me, not at all erratic. I can come closer to it with certain people in the right situation, but real eye contact for more than a microsecond IF it happens is accidental and uncomfortable.
