The UK government has published the autism strategy "to enhance the lives of adults with autism by improving diagnosis and access to services, including social care and tackling social exclusion and unemployment." http://www.communitycare.co.uk/Articles ... -teams.htm

The minister launching it is amusingly called Phil Hope.

Ah I see there digging out that old "it's not inclusion to create a two tier service" argument so as to excuse them from creating specialist services. So basically even with this legilsation its going to still be a post code lottery if you get a specific service available in your local area that you can access.

Once again, its down to short term monatary investments short term out look short term mentality. No taking into account the long term costs of mental health problems, people on long term benefits and the increased demand on other services.

This bill is becoming watered down too much for my liking

Sorry guys but the government has better things to do like bail out the banks so the bankers can award themselves multi-million bonuses. Minorities aren't worth anything in Britain.

Well, that's pretty amazing compared with what's not being done in the US.
