Update: I did call the police back.

I took everyone's advice and it turns out the police were looking for my ex. I don't know and frankly don't really care what it is about since she was an abusive woman to me (from over a year ago.) I'm just glad that the police are doing what they are supposed to do and hopefully no one got hurt.

Very nice-it's good to hear that it was legit. Hopefully nobody did get hurt, but if so, hopefully they can keep it from happening again.
