I can't seem to sit still (I've been told too many times). Like now, I am sitting on my sofa with my laptop on my lap/tummy. I feel really uncomfortable to just keep my legs still. I have to either cross my legs (twice over) or rest my legs on a stool/bean bag so I can bounce my knees. When I go out for a meal or on public transport, I keep crossing and uncrossing my legs. If there's no room to do that, my legs would start shaking. What can I do to keep still? I hate appearing so restless all the time. My doctor suggested that it's due more to my ADHD (on top of Asperger's) and could try to take medication which will help with this restlessness as well as my concentration.

Any thoughts? Thanks!

Why do you care if you look 'figety' on public transport? Also as a tip in minimizing it get a sqeeze ball or something like that to play with. Get a 'smart phone' and browse the internet on it. Play some games, read a newspaper, stand up on the crowded transport. But not caring what neurotypicals think is a good idea too 8)

I do that when reading things on public transport. One of my legs gets 'tired' - ie a lack of blood, and I switch to another leg to use while reading. So yeah.

EDIT: Playing Dance Dance Revolution helps :P

I think the smart phone is a really good idea.
