i have just finished my hsc (higher school certificate), which is the big end of high school exam here in new south wales, australia. my uai (university admission index) ended up being 90.25, based on the exam and assessments throughout the year. that just gets me in to bachelor of advanced science at the university of new south wales, provided that the requirement does not go up. (last year the uai requirement was 90) anyway, i really like the idea of tutoring one or two asperger's kids like me who are in their hsc year. has anyone done anything like this before? any advice? i think i'll have to get a diagnosis before the idea goes any further, at least to make sure that i actually do have as!

There is a whole section in Stephen Shore's book 'Ask and Tell' about that . . . he is actually just the editor - but if you look on Amazon I think the book comes up if you put him in the 'search for author' area . . .

it might be an idea to speak to people in the actual schools, venom - teachers or staff who work with kids with AS. they might have a clearer idea of what you might need to be able to become a tutor, and how you would go about it.
