Today we had Easter dinner. Well my sister said get a bag (for the left over ham) so I did then stood there and held it (for my Nanny before she left) I then went to put it on the table (by the door) My sister was like what are you doing? I then got a bigger bag to put the ziploc bag of ham in. My Nanny hugged me and said I was ok while I stood there confused LOL! (I know the story sounds confusing in and of itself LOL! Sorry) So I was thinking today basically I wish we had common sense!! !

I always have people tell me I lack common sense.

We have some common sense. I would be very surprised if someone thought if they missed their exit, pull over and back up to that exit and get off the freeway. Same as when you drive on wet roads or icy roads or when it's night time, you drive slower and I am sure there are people out there who don't have that common sense and they don't even have AS. Actually that does happen. When it snows where they hardly get it or rarely, car crashes occur because people just don't have the common sense.

I feel I have better common sense than most people. Look at all the stupidity out there. We just lack the common sense most people have for reading between the lines and understanding vague requests. It's like people want us to be psychics but no they don't want to treat us like children and make us feel like we're stupid. But it still feels like they want us to be psychics.

What did you do wrong, exactly? Aside maybe from getting the larger bag; that sounds unnecessary.

Honestly, I'm not sure what you did, either. It sounds quite sensible to put the bag next to the door so it would be handy when your Nanny was ready to leave. However, I'm also the one in our family with the reputation for having no common sense.

Me too; I completely know what you mean here. I do prefer to have "uncommon" sense, as auntblabby put it.

As for zeldapsychology, I'm not sure what you were explaining in your first post. I don't understand what you did wrong, either. Could you post again, elaborating on the story? Maybe we can help you out.

I have learned that, what I thought was common sense, is really just my sense, and it's relatively unusual. When I have said, "I thought that was just common sense..." people have a tendency to stare at me in disbelief.

It turns out that I do lack true common sense in some respects.

She didn't put the ham in the bag (apparently it was implied)
