I am a relatively new member of WP and it seems that there are quite a lot of NT members here at WP.

I'm interested in learning more about NTz, FROM NTz, as I have an NT wife and as much as I love her, it isn't always easy discussing the NT/AS thing with her.

If you are an NT, perhaps you could send a reply to this thread mentioning that you are an NT, or even send me a PM if you like.

I know Greentea has the NT/AS hotline which I think is a great thread and seems to be very popular with members.

This thread is meant to be a quick reference Register of NTz to help me and other Aspies (who are interested) identify NTz with whom we might have a meaningful direct dialogue and NOT to be a 'competing' hotline.

Thanks

hey hey.

(sticking his head above the parapet) i'm NT too. Though my many weirdnesses are somewhat explained by AS, I fall on the NT side of any test I've ever taken.

So, ask away.

PMs are fine, if you like.

Cheers,

L.

Profiles usually say they are or "family member with Aspergers." But I would take a look at their very first posts they have made to see if they are NT or not. They usually define themselves when they make an intro post. They say things like their partner has it or their child so I assume they are not on the spectrum or else they would have said they are too.

I am not an NT, but I have q question to the original poster: what is your aim with this "NT register"? I mean, mayve if you want to ask an NT about NTness, yu could start a thread along the lines of: "question for NTs re ..." I don't see your point in an NT register other than to counter ASD registers, which are nonsense and there is no reason to answer nonsense with more nonsense.

Hi Blindspot149, thank you very much for asking. Based on the available options, I would most logically fall into the category of "NT" and would be happy to be of service :D

For the record, I am probably the most atypical neurotypical (ANT) you will ever meet 8) If there was a "none of the above" category in the profile, I would have checked it. An analogy can be made using cats: From a cat's perspective there may be many different kinds of easily recognizable cats, but all other animals in the world (to a cat) would be categorized as "not cats" (NCs), in which case I would be considered an NC. But that categorization doesn't mean I am anything like other NCs, because the NC category also includes sharks, snakes, pigs, slugs, sloths, etc. So, carrying through on the analogy, while based on the available categories the only logical thing for me to select is NT, I don't feel, think, or behave like most other NTs.

I myself am an Aspie but I don't mind having NT members. Friends are good no matter what they are, you know?

Thanks for all of the friendly responses and PMz so far.

I'd like to say a special hello to Lukeinflames and DenvrDave for sharing; two more very nice NT members of WP.

It's great to be able to have comfortable contact with NTz and this is the perfect forum to do that.

Thanks for all of the support from my fellow Aspies who dropped in to say hello.

:D

Ian, i wouldn't exactly class myself as an NT since i have some of the aspie traits or could possibly be an aspie.

NT here, I found myself on this site because I am the dad of an autistic little boy. I love reading these forums there's a lot of understanding I have gained reading the posts and discussions in the short time I have been here.
