I read a book by her called Thinking in pictures. She has Aspergers. I know this clip is about an hour long, you can skip through the movie or watch the whole thing.

There was a movie about her on HBO recently, starring Claire Danes. I like her book Animals in Translation :)

Sorry, I've never heard of the Temple of Grandin. Oh you mean Temple Grandin. Yes, I've heard of her. Also she's HFA not AS.

I think nearly everyone on the autism spectrum has heard of Temple Grandin. I first heard of her years ago, long before I even knew much of anything about autism, especially the higher functioning forms. I really want to see the HBO movie about her, but I don't have HBO :( so I don't know when I'll be able to see it.

I've heard of her, but I have no idea who she is or why she is popular?

I think that the question should be, who hasn't heard of her (at least on this website).

Yes, I've heard of her. I've read Thinking in Pictures and Animals in Translation, and I want to read some of her other stuff. And I've watched some videos with her on youtube. And yes, she is actually HFA and not AS. There's some page sort of thing on facebook called "Temple Grandin is a sociopath" or something like that :?

Technicaly she doesn't have AS becuase she was born LF, but then I was born LF as well and have an AS diagnosis. I personaly can't stand her because people are ALWAYS comparing me to her when they find out I am autistic and want to be a zoo vet. My b***h riding instructor was the worst though. If Temple took meds, I should take them as well. Practicaly everything Temple did, I should have done as well. I am in her shadow and I don't even know the lady. I wonder though if someday people will be comparing their kids to me.

She is interesting though. Thanks for sharing.

What I admire about her, is that she really has a way, with animals. :)
