So, I'm at Bloomington University for spring break 08', and a friend of mine makes a comment about an icecream run. I volunteer to go out to pick up some bulk chunky monkey or something and everyone hands me their cash.
Now, its past midnight and its been raining like crazy. My only form of transportation is my motorcycle, and its headlight is broken. At the time, the only way I could think of to counter-act the possibilty of NOT getting into an accident is to go really really fast, that way no car will hit me. So I head on down to the grocery store doing about 90.
Before I continue, I should let all of you know that I had been up for the past two days drinking and partying. Also I had lost all my clothes at some point (can't recall where) so I headed down to kroger or whatever in a pair of some nice, generous girls jeans. It's cold. It's raining. And I was laughing to myself about how smart I am for my "drive really fast/cut down on time idea".
I never made it. At some point during the drive I started to slowly lean to the right, and I got pretty close to the cars parked on the curb. Of course I never noticed, I couldnt see anything and my head was swimming. Thats when I hear an incredibly large "crack" like glass breaking.
My bike falls on its left side pinning my leg to the pavement as I slide about 20 feet or so down the street. I'm now laying on my back as cold rainwater is hitting my face yelling: Ahhh...AhhhHHHH! Chunky monkey! Chunky MonKEY GURRRAHHH!
As it turns out, I had leaned so far to the right that my right knuckle had smacked into the drivers side mirror of a parked car. The sudden sound and pain just made me go out of control. I thought the smartest thing to do now is go back to the dorm and tell my mates what happened. They didn't believe me. In fact, they were just pissed that I never got their icecream.
What do you guys think? Did this happen because I'm an Aspie? Or because I should never have volunteered to go on the icecream run?
