I love being an aspie. I love that I can spend an evening by myself, without feeling uneasy. I love that I have special interests, that seem to be my own. Those special interests make me feel original. I love that I dress to suit myself, and not to suit my peers. I enjoy having a mind of my own. I like that I'm not influenced by society and it's rules. I like that I can work by myself, without 100 people standing on top of me, without feeling deserted or abandoned. I enjoy the creative ideas that I come up with. I like the fact that I'm not like most women, and that I don't spend all my money on hair products, shoes, make-up and Playgirl magazine. I like that I speak with a masculine version of the London Cockney. I like living in a time warp, and in my own little world, and I wouldn't have it, any other way. I don't have anything, that I need to recover from.

Hey good for you! It's nice to see someone is really enjoying themselves. Me, I don't mind being an Aspie, but the work structures... hopefully that'll be changing soon. (I have a nice boss, but the people are still confusing, even years later. It's people-oriented and executive-function heavy. :shrug At least I can drive my car a lot, which I do. [I don't know why I felt the need to go into detail.]) I speak like a guy, too, sort of, and am often treated as such, which is pretty interesting, though not unwelcome. Typical male-female interactions are pretty weird, I've been trying to watch them. Yeah, I only need one bottle of hair gel, it's really great, and a few shoes. Though, I have many shoes, because I'm a packrat. So, I still have stuff from middle school and high school. >.< But hey, it saves cash, right?
Ew, Playgirl. Over here, it's Cosmo or something. Gleahfgh, gross. I bought one once. It was a waste of cash.

You guys rock. I am working hard on learning to be more like you and learning that it is okay to be an Aspie.

I'm not an aspie. I'm me, who just so happens to be on the autistic spectrum or ADHD or both. I'm creative artistically, quiet, and can even be an arrogant a***hole when I want to be.
I wouldn't say that there wasn't anything wrong with me. Clearly there are social difficulties, executive dysfunctions and lots of other neurological or physical problems going on with me, but overcoming these is difficult and leaves me feeling miserable so I try to make the best of what I've got.
