I use my Nintendo Wii, whenever I'm at home, because of my poor reading and spelling skills. That's the only reason that I've purchased the Wii, to be honest.

Do you use any types of assistive technology or accommodations?

I'm really confused, now... how does that work?

I can zoom in, and make everything, as large as I need, by using the + button on the hand control. There's also an arrow button on the virtual keyboard that you can press. It points down and words show up, so that you can look for the words that you're typing.

I think most of my communication is done through Facebook. If I stopped using it people would have no idea what was going on with me. Even my mum who I live with. Thought she finds my blogs too long but my status tells people how my day's been. I rarely say anything to people face to face.
I wear reading glasses everywhere too because they make everything in front of me so much softer.
I listen to my ipod to drown out the sound and I don't feel that bothered by being in crowds.
The spellchecker on Safari is a blessing too.

I often have to use headphones at work. But I don't know that I'd call it an "accommodation."

Wish I could find something to help with smell overload when you're trapped and can't move for whatever reason. :(

Oh, so do I! I wish there were some way to make anatomy lab less smelly; but there's really no way to do it, so I settle for keeping my nose away from specimens and curling up on my bed afterward.

I need a computer to type because my speech is unreliable.

In the community I need earplugs/earphones/mp3 player and sunglasses.
