Hello,

I have been in the process of starting up a Support/Social Group through Autistic Self-Advocacy Network (otherwise known as ASAN). It's really on the Dallas side of the metroplex currently, but I know that some people don't mind traveling from the other side. The support group is for any adult (18+) with a recognized Autism Spectrum Disorder (formal or self diagnosed). It is run by those with an ASD for those with ASDs.

Details:

Who: Any Adult (18+) Autistic or Aspie Adult
What: Support/Social Group
When: The Third (3rd) Thursday of Every Month
From 7pm to 9pm CST
Where: Harrington Library, Plano

If you need the exact address, please contact me. If you use DART, I have that information as well.

Last month was the first meeting, but it was rather small, so trust me, you didn't miss anything. The next meeting is next Thursday, April 15. For any more information, feel free to email me at melody at asparenting dot com.

ETA: I have also set up a Discussion list via Yahoo! Groups, to join go here: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/asan-dallas/
Please specify that you read it on Wrong Planet.
