Someone's comment in another thread made me wonder if there is any correlation, or if we follow the same breakdown as the general population. Please, only those on the spectrum answer the survey.

am largely ambidexterous- the only things i have difficulty doing with my right hand are writing and teethbrushing. but my sister could write with both hands in both directions simultaneously, she always was smarter and sharper than me. anyways, back in the dark ages when i was in school, the powers-that-be tried to make me write with my right hand but all they got for their trouble was totally illegible schoolwork. so they gave up.

I'm left-handed.

Come to think of it, so is my HFA idol. It's pretty obvious in the old pictures that were taken of my band. Too bad, he went to school, in the 50s, when all students were expected to be right handed, and hit on their hands, when they wrote, with their left hands.

I'm right-handed. I can do some things with my left hand, but not write. I knew some people in school that were ambidnexerous. Show offs.

I am ambedexterous with my hands and apperantly in the eyes too.
Generaly use my right hand to write with because most people in school did and it works best for the engish language. My hand writing is slow and poor with either hand.
I keep the ambedexterity secret as a rule.

I write with my left hand; but there are some things that I do with my right hand, such as eating.

I am exactly the same way as you, especially with the writing and eating.

I don't limit myself into any side :D I'm ambidextrous, now I write with my right hand. There were periods in my life when I used left. Generally my left half of brain is dominant, but right is also strong.

Your thread title will skewer the results of your poll a bit. People who are left handed are probably more likely to respond.

I'm left handed, but I use my right for various things. I remember in kindergarten they made us lefties use these stupid scissors with green plastic on them.

Although I prefer to use my left hand for writing, drawing etc, I am perfectly capable of using my right for these tasks.
I favour my right hand for throwing.
I will swap hands halfway through a rally in squash, badminton etc.
Use hammers saws etc in which ever hand is most suitable for the task.
I can only use a knife and fork right handed and a spoon left handed.

I'm a lefty and mostly right-brained.
I've noticed I tend to get on well with lefties quite often, my oldest friend is a lefty and he told me all of his friends are lefties. Maybe right-brained people gravitate towards each other or something. Since I am not often surprised by what someone's handedness is, if someone says they're left I'm like "oh thought so".
Odd that.

i'm aspie and most definitely right-handed. my daughter is aspie, and when young would use either hand equally. she continues that, although she does most of her drawing, painting, writing, with her right hand.

my sister is NT, by the way, and is a lefty (the only lefty in the immediate family).

There is a correlation between left-handedness and mental illness.

I am left handed.
