This has been an incredible experience for me and others attending AutHaven. We NEED support get togethers throughout the world. Monthly 2 hour meetings can't really do enough. You all could do this on a super simple scale. For instance, get a small group together [5 or 6 would be enough] and spent a week-end in someones Aunts' big old house. [or if it's warm,in her backyard] Get a few donations and ask everyone in the group to bring a potluck dish or two, and maybe milk, eggs, or bread. Ask people to bring and tak about their special interest if they want to. Have people bring and share craft supplies, their musical instruments, etc. Make a few interaction badges. You want a speaker? there are probably a few who would be happy to speak in your group. and, there is so much information that can be shared. Next year I am going to speak about Autism, serious illness, and aging, because it's something I know about. [also on the progress of physical autistic communitity. It's really happening] If you all are big gamers or musicians, make that an emphasis. Just do it! And then, tell everyone on WP about it. and every other forum you know as well. It is really time, you guys, for major positive changes in the autistic community, and each of you can be a ife changer.

i like the idea but im not sure how it would work. i have lots of things to share and i like to help people so that part is solid. but i dont know anyone so i have no people to meet up with.

what is the 2 hours per month thing you were talking about at the start?
