I'm graduating with an undergrad degree in accounting. I'd like to go into tax accounting, and hopefully get a job with one of the firms.

congratulations for graduating! I'm an accounting major in my second year. I'm going to be taking intermediate accounting in the fall. Did you pass the CPA exam? Because in New York you need 150 credits to take it.

Thanks, I haven't taken the CPA yet-my handle's a little misleading. I plan on starting(prolly taking my college's review course) this summer. Hopefully I'll pass the first time-the pass rate for first times only about 10%. My state has the same 150rule, however I have 150 credits cuz I switched my major.

Not for the rest of my friggin life I aint :P.

I'm doing mostly low level tax accounting at the moment as I've kinda deferred my studies indefinitely (was about 18 months into a 4 year part time degree. I already hold a diploma which gave me advanced standing for half of the degree). It's too much for me to study and work full time as well. I lost interest in it as a career not long after I started working :?. I'm hoping for a career change in the coming years.

But ain't life hell, and you'll be kept there forever? Each time dying, and being reborn into the same brain grinding work (add in everything else)....

Like, I'm bound to live the life of an obsessive compulsive gun nut drama magnet, nomadic, and a person lacking all the social sprockets, over and over.

I won't be an accountant in a future life either.

Yeah drama llama's, glad I never was one, hey 8). And you're nomadic? That's news to me.
