I agree with the comment inserted at the bottom. However, regardless of "MarieChan's" personal opinion, Asperger's is a form of autism. I can see where she's coming from as far as Autism Speaks though.

What's the point of trolling if you point out you're doing it? Be more subtle, anyone can troll like you're doing.

It's shameful that certain individuals expect us to go through life proving they we're disabled enough to prove that we're not disabled.

NTs are just weird and delusional.

You know, it would help not to make such board statements and generalizations like that since it leads to more negative stereotypes about Aspies thinking their superior to NTs.

No, I think the above act and many others that you can find on the board, pretty much demonstrate that others believe we are not entitled to have an identity at all, inferior, superior, or equal, that we are either not autistic at all and can "speak" for no one; or that we are autistic and are, therefore, tragic idiots.

Nobody can say that aspergers is the exact same as low functioning autism (which was probably what they meant) but they are still part of a spectrum of conditions characterised by a triad of similar impairments.

I mean, a dog is not exactly a wolf; their brains are smaller, they are usually tamer than wolves, they do not exhibit the exact same behaviours as wolves, depending on the breed, they look different, they are usuallymore obedient towards humans, etc. HOWEVER, they are both from the same family and are very closely related to one another, so it would be very stupid to deny their similarities.

The people who do this are not neurotypical. That kind of petty ignorance and hateful intolerance is a mental defect in itself. They need a cure much worse than we do.

Their inability to understand that even with less functionality, it might be possible that their Autistic family members don't want to be fundamentally changed into something other than who they are, shows that the posters themselves lack anything resembling a Theory of Mind, and that they are so invested in their attitude of superiority, that anyone less functional than themselves must be changed in order to make them acceptable as a human being. Their attitude of hate isn't just directed toward us - it's directed at the very people they claim to be defending. What they're really saying is "MY poor Autistic family member is a FREAK and will never be acceptable to me until they can behave like me."

The saddest part is that they rant on, spouting off about a 'cure' with no rational concept of just how far away modern science is from anything resembling a cure for Autism. Asking people to donate money for a cure to something so complex in it's effects, that most likely begins at the genetic level, is using science fiction as a con.

I know that it's not neurotypical behavior.... but it's just making me feel sad and frustrated.

I learned less than a month ago that there were other people like me in this world and I thought that feeling like an outcast would end, but I see that's it's not that easy.

It's all very strange.

Well lets just say it makes sense to me. Was simply to make a point about the OP being a stupid ****. ITs whats great about 'free speech'/'freedom of expression.' especially considering the nation in which the web host is.

And with how I work, I will do absolutely anything to make a point, its just how I view things. What is the phrase again, 'Nothing is Sacred" was it? And with how I am normally, is that any different? Remember, I fail at putting myself in others shoes, IF i decide to.

Once again, people do not understand freedom of speech. You can speak your mind and have your opinion, but you cannot arbitrarily enter another person's property to do so - and a website is private property. So you can speak your mind - on your site - but you agree to the rules here governing language and personal attacks when you create your account. An apology does nothing when you leave the images where a child can encounter them here. Your point about the OP? That is a personal attack since you are addressing the person and not the issue. How does the phrase go, the ends does not always justify the means?

Ill take them down, but I still will disagree with you regardless, sometimes the ends really do justify the means. Go ahead an argue it but im not gonna change my view on it. I dont care who is right or who is wrong, but I can say with confidence that sometimes you have to be abrasive to get the point across. If someone trolls like that of course im gonna take a few jabs at them.
