Come on guys, we (well, at least some of us) spend all day thinking about ways in which we are different from NTs. Why don't we spend a few minutes thinking about ways in which we are similar to NTs.

That's my challenge to you guys. List as many similarities we have with NTs as you possibly can!

Please stick to idiosyncracies. Don't list basic needs, anatomy and bodily functions ;)

I can imitate an NTs laughter pretty good, and NTs do the same as well! So both NT and AS can imitate peoples actions!

My boyfriend is all NT, and I have to say he doesn't always give eye contact either, in fact I noticed a lot of NTs that can't give good eye contact, meaning their good all around, but when it comes to certian situations their not good at it. So both NT and AS can be poor at eye contact!

Both can laugh.
Both can cry.
Both need food.
Both need fluid.
Both poop.
Both pee.
Both have 2 legs and 2 arms, barring birth defects and accidents.
Both come in introverted and extroverted varieties.
Both generally like music.
Both generally have the capacity to learn, tho whether they use this is another matter.
Oh...and both breathe unless they are 6 feet under or of the living dead variety.

Both can be arrogant
Both can enjoy math, science, social studies, etc.

- Both have social insecurities sometimes
- Both can be intellectually deep
- Both sometimes make mistakes and can overcome them
- Both can be biased (such as, some Aspies like to talk about how NTs put others down, but isn't that us putting down the NTs??)
- Both have quirks
- Neither is REALLY normal
...

I'm sure I'll think of more as soon as I submit this post... :D

It irks me when people do that :x Clapping is reserved for applause on my part.

NT's and Aspies both have opinions

I think that although NTs are more socialized, we all of us want to have real conversations. I don't think it is because they are NTs that you can't be genuine with them in an aspie deep way but just because they aren't the right kind of person that's all.

Define "more socialized." 'cause if it's just being nice in general... well, no, sorry. They/we aren't.

Both are idiots about some things at some times; both are smart about some things at some times.
