Would anyone here consider that they are addicted to the Internet?

Would anyone consider that they have, at any time, been through a phase of Internet addiction?

To some people with A.S.D because of difficulties it is more of a social accommodation device, some people have verbal expressive addiction, rather then internet addiction. I suppose there is a balance, I’m more for trying to socialize in person, yet cannot find that.

I wouldn't say I'm addicted to the internet but it is easier (and cheaper) to talk to people over it. I will be using it a lot less regularly for a while when I move to Manchester until I can afford to get my own line sorted which means less contact with a couple of my friends for a bit (a few of them live abroad and I can't afford to contact them over the phone) but thats it really.

I would define an addiction as something unpleasant so by that definition I'm addicted :oops:

I could do without the Internet--have done so--but would prefer not to. Where else can you get such a source of information about everything under the sun?

I guess I could say that I am addicted, but more so for the fact that every bit of information imaginable on my obsesssions is available to me.

i would say i addicted to it. i would even say i am obbsessed with it. I spend a large amount of my time learning ias much as i can about it, and most of my spare time is devoted to webdesign.

Yup, I think I can safely say that I am addicted to the Internet although I am able to do without it.

I wouldn't consider my self addicted when the only think I can think of doing is being on the internet at all the time. Ok I'm addicted.

i cant wait to get my next fix. the doctors told me to watch tv everytime i felt the urge to "surf up" so as to wean myself off it but i cant go more than a day without the net without getting sweaty and disorientated

its almost like there is nothing else to do on a computer if you don't have the internet.
