I'm a bible christian with a tendency to use the bible to defend people who are
stereotypically harrassed by other bible christians. I'm not a big church christian.

Depends. Are you a member of the Christian faith, Christian?

Do LGBT people have Jesus Christ in their lives? I'd like to think so, because he shed his blood for everyone. All are welcome. All have been invited. None are turned away.

But if you read what Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell said, it's the gays fault for natural disasters, and even the financial disaster here. From the face of modern Christianity, it seems that elitism, judgment, and sanctimoniousness are the foundations of their beliefs.

It seems those kinds of attitudes do more to drive people away than draw them closer.

Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell have lost sight of what Christianity should be, IMO. THey are precisely the kind of pharisee Jesus railed against when he walked the earth 2000 years ago. What do they really stand for, Robertson and Falwell? The establishment. The status quo.

Once Christianity gained popularity, gained influence, became a monolithic power, it became one big sellout, as far as I'm concerned. :( :x
