I got put on Mirtazapine (Remeron) for that. In a month I gained from 115 to 145 and then it leveled off, but now I'm coming off it and need to force myself to eat. I don't get hungry and don't notice that I haven't had anything to eat in 24 hours until I start getting shaky and feeling really anxious.

Maybe just wait 'til your metabolism starts slowing down in twenty years?

Eat, eat, no one wants a skinny Santa.

When I was 18 I weighed 188 lbs and looked skinny after army basic training I went down to 155 and looked sickly. When I hit 25 I was putting on so much weight I thought I was going to break the scale. Your going to miss the ability to lose the weight when your in your thirties.

Appreciate what you have. You know what they say: you can never be too rich or too thin.

i eat plenty, my diet consists of calorie-rich foods  .
it seems my body craves fatty/salty/starchy/sugary foods.

fatty foods like: bacon, fried chicken, ribs, i also add butter to things for flavor, especially dull tasting foods like vegetables
sugary foods like: chocolate, real maple syrup, certain breakfast cereals
salty foods like: potato chips, etc.
and filling starchy foods like: potatoes, grains, corn, rice

though i also try to eat healthy stuff too for good balance :)

I didn't really put on weight at all until I was around 20. I'm 22 now and have just about made it into the 'normal weight' category on the BMI charts. I'm still abit on the lanky side but heck I'm gonna take that 'normal' diagnosis and run with it. btw I'm a girl so this probably has no relevance whatsoever...

It's because you're only 19. Seriously, 6'2" and 160-170 isn't too slim for that age. I think most tall guys broaden out and gain muscle mass in their early/middle 20s. The down side is when you get closer to 30 the muscle starts turning into fat. :(

Peanut butter! A couple of big spoonfuls add up to around 500 kcal--great for putting on weight without eating a lot of crap.

I find it extremely easy to gain weight. Losing weight is difficult for me. Want to trade metabolisms?

What it comes down to is a lot of weights and a very high protein diet. You should see my friend Shaun, he used to be really skinny now hes a muscle man.

Ditch the sugar. Ditch the carbs. They will either go right through you or make you into a big flat blob, make you tired and give you thrush so you fart all the time.

Eat lots of meat. eat lots of eggs and other high protein foods. Beans for fibre. And you need to stick to weights too. I can get my friends before and after pics if he doesn't mind.

Get some whey protein from your local sports health shop.

Here's a really unhealthy way at gaining weight: drink alcohol. It stops your metabolism dead in its tracks. Typically people eat when they drink so.....all those calories your taking in when your drunk aren't being metabolized and are instead being stored as fat.

Its a proven scientific fact. I can put on a pound a night when I drink. *shrugs*. Whiskey, cherry coke and cheezits might help, lol....

Or you could just start eating tons of protein.

You could also try wearing a lead diving belt.
