Has anyone every been overstimulated by their special interest?
I have been attending meetings, seminars and events related to my special interest, a flood that devistated the community that I live in and the subsequent impacts and recovery. For the last week or two there has been an event about every day. I have been partaking in them as much as possible. I finally noticed last night that I was drained by all of this, and even though I had an event that I was supposed to partake in today, I skipped out. The overstimulation is also starting to affect me at work, by stressing me out more and leaving a low frustration tolerance, and at home, where nothing feels like it is not getting done.
How do people respond to this, or do you? I never realizeed that there can be too much of a good thing!
Engaging in my special interests, I always feel I have much more energy. Like it does stimulate me very much, but doesn't make me tired. I always feel like I have more energy after doing anything relating to my special interests.
