I do. In the microwave door reflection, in the bathroom, in just about any reflective surface. I don't know why, I just stare deep into my eyes.

I admire myself in the mirror, every time that I have a chance.

You know how you can repeat a word over and over until you disassociate the sound from the meaning? I did that once with my face. I decided to stare at myself in the mirror until I didn't recognize myself anymore. It was interesting. I would watch patterns of light and dark cross my face and change it.

I try not to because then I have to ask myself the question, Where did that old guy come from?

Although I am frequently mesmerized by something, and pretty much anything moving can do it, I am never fixated on my image.

I don't like seeing myself at all, either in pictures, in the mirror, and least of all in my classroom broadcasts. When I have to teach the satellite classes, I avoid looking at the monitor at all costs.

When I was a boy, It was the opposite. I tried to get in pictures every chance I got and would always look at myself, but it was because I had no sense of self. At times, I felt like I really didn't exist; I had to see myself to put my self into context with the world. But now, I find that seeing myself narrows who I am, as if I am only my physical image and I feel like I am living in a cage inside my body. I try to avoid any reminders of that cage.

Yeah, it's starting to give me goosebumps. ;) I'm drawn to shadows and movement as well, and I get what you are talking about,Aimless. But when I walk by a mirror or any reflective surface, I see the movement, and have to look, including at myself. I'm not crazy about having my pic taken anymore.

I did this many years ago a couple of times, always in a dark room by candlelight. It kind of weirded me out, because after awhile it would begin to look as though the room around me was alive and moving. I can't imagine what it would have been like if I'd actually been tripping. 8O

I'm always a little afraid that if I make eye contact too long, the guy in the mirror will start talking to me.

I do this a lot. The more I stare, the more dissociated I feel from that person in the mirror. Some days, she seems really attractive, other days just plain weird. :?

Yes.

But to mix it up, I also contort my face into weird expressions to create something truly hideous or amusing, but I think that's a trait I got from my grandfather. He used to make funny faces too.

And it's a trait I like having!

It's only because I look like my favourite member of my favourite band, and I think I look cool. 8)

I can look myself in the eye without feeling the need to look away.

I stare at my reflection every chance I get. I do it so often that my family has commented on it. I think I look good in person - it's a shame my appearance doesn't translate well to photo (I'm not photogenic at all). I only got a 6.9/10 on Hot or Not.

I do, and my parents tell me about it all the time
