I was listening to a podcast of the NPR program Speaking of Faith, and they did a show on autism a couple of years ago. I thought that this show offered a unique perspective that I have not heard.

Great show! I particularly like the unedited version.

Reading over the comments, it always amazes me how so many people view such a positive and uplifting interview negatively... such as the person who thought it was a "waste of time." I guess some people don't want to (or can't) see the positive side. That's fine, but then they get resentful when other people can and write them off, saying things like, "Well, he's higher functioning so none of the parent's opinions apply to me." Whoever said that functioning labels are divisive (I think it was anbeund) was spot on.
