These are actually examples of codes, not languages; and yes I can read them.

I learned from The Hobbit how to write runes. Does that count?

Dwarf runes are a writing system, not a language; they can be used for Tolkienian languages and "real-world" languages alike.

It's much nicer than a roman-alphabeth-based code, though :)

It's not about secret language but I thought this would be funny :

Aoccdrnig to a rscheearch at an elingsh uinervtisy, it deosn't mttaer in waht oredr the ltteers in a wrod are, the olny iprmoetnt tihng is taht frist and lsat ltteer is at the rghit pclae. The rset can be a toatlmses and you can sitll raed it wouthit porbelm. Tihs is bcuseae we do not raed ervey lteter by istlef but the wrod as a wlohe.

my secret languange consisted of made up symbols for each letter.

In the end I culd read and write it fluently but the friend I was writing letters to just didn't get it..

She wasn't really very intelligent and i'm not friends with her anymore.

Macvincent: I am pretty bored right now
Coyote: According to a research at an english university, it doesn’t matter in what order the letters in a word are, the only important thing is that first and last letter is at the right place. The rest can be total mess and you can still read it without problem. This is because we do not read every letter by itself but the word as a whole.

I have a language that I have made up for talking to my animals. It's made up of sounds that they make and improvised sounds of my own. The nice thing about it is, they (my dogs and my cats) understand it.

The language is simple. A sound to call them to me (this one is for Danger and asking Where are you?), A call for food, some gutteral sounds of happiness/contentment, I want to play sounds, even a sound to say I am not happy/you've been bad/leave me alone.
My favorite is (of course) my I love you sound....I think it's theirs too.

I suppose it could be called a secret language. My family and neighbors probably have another word for it though - Crazy
