I've been in the process of being diagnosed for the past several weeks. Last time my psychiatrist said I definitely have Asperger's, and tomorrow is my final meeting with her. My question is the following: suppose I decide to tell my parents I have Asperger's. They'll probably ask me what it is. How should I explain it to them?

I would give them a leaflet on it (print one off) and show them some websites about it.

this is a good page to print off

I always explained it as a loneliness coupled with a fear of being around people.
