Please vote for Aspiritech!
There is a wonderful new non-for-profit called Aspiritech. They employ aspies/autistics in software testing and similar computer-based fields. But none of their employees are getting much work because clients are needed and advertising costs money.
Aspiritech is in the running for the Chase Community Giving sweepstakes. The top 200 win at least $20,000! They are doing very well but they continue to need votes. This is through Facebook. Please vote today (and pass along this message for others to place their votes as well) and give this one-of-a-kind organization a chance to grow, expand, and help aspie/autistic adults with meaningful employment! Thanks.

Voting ends in 2 days.
Thanks for voting!! !

It sounds whiffy to me that http://www.aspiritech.org/ is not a for-profit paying non-exploitative, industry-standard wages.

Non-profit means that you can only make about 5% more in profits than what you expend on wages and normal work expenses.
It's not exploitation if you pay people the standard rates according to what they do, and if it just so happens that these people are exceptionally good at what they do, and would love to make a contribution to the society (where previously most aspies did not have a future regarding jobs) then all the better.
The "whiffy" part is the fact that it is so difficult for companies like Aspiritech and the Danish companies which it's business model is based on, BOAS Specialister and Specialisterne, to get clients. The companies that would benefit the most from services such as Aspiritech and BOAS Specialister (yes, I work for BOAS Specialister in Denmark) are hesitant to make use of the exceptional skills we aspies have, such as keen sense of details, ability to do work that NTs would find tedious, repeditive, and mind-numbingly boring, and the fact that most of us grew up sitting in front of the computer instead of doing sports and other silly nonsense like that.
Aspies are awesome and it's is about time people started noticing, especially the software industry.
