Do you ever find yourself randomly dropping things? What about leg muscles just going limp while walking, running, or standing?

I've been known to drop things though if your muscles are suddenly going limp you may want to see a neurologist. You could be having seizures.

I don't think it's seizures. It's random and one or two muscles at a time.

I've experienced this a lot too I tried to bring it up with my GP once but we were focusing on other topics at the same time so I still don't know if I should bring it up again. I find sometimes my hands will randomly go limp or my feet.

The only time I brought it up to my GP was when I went in for PPD after having my son. I'm guessing she attributed it to my PPD and chalked it up as unimportant.

I drop things all the time, especially when it's getting close to "that time of the month". Sometimes when I run, I feel like my legs are giving out beneath me, and I come close to falling. It doesn't happen very often though - maybe once or twice every couple of months.

Yes, but I have a lot of neurological and muscular issues. You really ought to be checked for things like seizures, MS, and many less common conditions that can cause sudden specific muscle weakness. A lot of neurological and neuromuscular things can do that.

Or it could just be standard autistic difficulty tracking body parts, or a form of partial shutdown. But I'd think an extremely thorough workup would be in order.

I have days where my hands appear to be absolutely useless and I drop things constantly. It seems like my brain's not making the usual connections it needs to make with my hands in order to hold unto things. I trip over myself, too. Limp? In a sense, with my hands anyway. Not sure if it's the same as what you're experiencing. I've had these moments since I was a kid.

For me, I think it's mostly a coordination thing. Some days are worse than others.

Now, I have various physical health issues, so i.e., I understand that when my jaw goes limp or feels weak, it's because I have TMJD. What freaks me out sometimes is electrical pulses going down my arms and legs at once, as it puts me in mind of MS symptoms (as do some other physical sensations I have). That can coincide with a numb feeling, but not so much "limp". It's probably related to my beaten up spine, or maybe it's a nutritional deficiency (like vitamin D, which I take, but I'm not sure it's enough). Once it happened during a panic attack.

Sorry, It's probable that none of this was helpful at all.

I've had migraines since I was a kid, and have scoliosis. I never really looked into MS but I doubt that's my problem. I don't know how to explain it, but it's more my brain forgets how to control my muscles for a second or two.

Then again, there's that neck twitch that I recently developed.

Not really strange. It's just poor coordination. I've never had good coordination. I will say this was much worse when I was, er, *medicating* myself daily.

I also get spacey and have poor coordination around TOTM. IDK anything about the muscle spasms. I have them too but I think it's normal.

I had "zaps" like this when I was on SSRIs. I would get them really badly when my feet hit the ground.

Dealing with the hurdles of aspergers, is most physically and mentally fatiguing. It's like all sorts of super natural dieties are having a WWE SmackUFC-Hanson Brothers (Slap shot movie) soccer hooligan agogo, in your head. You fight with maintaining a job, you fight with progress and using your Super charged Savant-Asperger-Austic brain. You break down, your head feels like a burn out tire (when you make the tires smoke). To make matters worse people give you "S". Maybe you have a dual or trio or Infinito of overlapping conditions freaking out teachers, psychologists. Your body is breaking down tired. Your brain is fires tired burnt out neurons. Yet you push on because you have to pay the rent, you have kids. You twitch, you feel numb and lifeless.

You feel sluggish loggey sticky or rusty. Yet you're in perfect health. You zoom out, you space out, you're clumsy, you're all thumbs, or you do things differently at work which pisses off the boss.

Some Newagers even put a new age twist into this equation that is slowly adding up to =SUCKKKKS! They claim that since 1990 the earth is slowly entering some Nerubian cosmic field, and that your body is just waking up from eons of slumber.

Such is the life of an Aspie. 8O 8O

I'm not on any medication. I haven't been for 9 years now.

Sounds about right. I was mostly curious if anyone else did this. The only one I've ever really talked to about it that kind of understood is my suspected aspie husband. Everyone else has been really confused about it.
