One of the things I like is random creativity/spontaneity, I suppose that's why I like design. Does anyone else here think that with all their structured concepts, methods and rules the neurotypical people have left little room for this creativity/spontanaeity?

I have two examples; Mock The Week, sure they tell jokes but most of them are the comedians' "material" and because there is a correct answer Dara says "Can we move to a correct answer please", my second example is Eggheads, little room for spontanaeity there because of all the structure apart from CJ banging his head on the desk.

Even music has structure, most of it is all about relationships.

However maybe I can't see the need for structure very well because I am a ND, (Neurodiverse or person on the spectrum), MAYBE modern society wouldn't work without the structure.

Oh thank goodness for art!

It is not true that NT's (or by definition people without autism) always lack spontaneity or creativity. Some do and some don't. It has nothing to do with autism.

I don't know whether most people are spontaneous or not. I tend to agree with the first reply that it doesn't really mean anything. I can have trouble changing gears from one activity to the other, and often won't make a decision about something I don't know much about. But I really don't know whether I prefer structure of spontaneity, personally. I like structure a lot, but then again, sometimes I just wanna go do something crazy. Lately I've been describing myself as both serious and goofy at the same time.

Now I'm thinking that I posted what I did due to my personality and life circumstances. At present I am a bit introverted, don't watch much TV and don't have a very big life in general. So maybe I don't notice spontanaeity and creatitivity because I am in a shell and shut myself off from the world a bit. Still, there are a lot of structured concepts in the adult world that really define how neurotypicals talk and behave and a big one is social skills but without social skills we would all offend and annoy each other.

I guess what I mean is the proverb: variety is the spice of life.
