Uh, not quite sure what that first post was about, so I'll just reply to the topic title...

My sleep cycle generally involves me staying up till 2 AM and waking up at 10 AM. Though for the past couple of days, I have been staying up till 3 or 4 AM and waking up around 12:30 PM.

My sleep cycles are horrible; I work rotating 12 hour swing shifts. I've turned into someone who sleeps when they're tired regardless of the time of day or night. (This works out really well as nobody knows if I am supposed to be working or off)

I just sleep at normal times really. I go to bed at 10pm if I'm really tired or feel unwell, but generally I go to bed at about 11pm. I'm good at sleeping - it roughly takes me about 2 minutes to 10 minutes to get to sleep, and usually I wake up at any time between 8am and 10am. Then I get up.

My AS don't effect my sleep or diet at all.

My sleeping pattern has changed dramatically since my last severe depression.
Before I fell ill I needn't any more than 5 hours of sleep to keep me functioning. I would fall asleep at about 1-2AM on school nights and wake up at about 6:30 AM.

These days I need at least 8 hours of sleep. I usually go to bed before midnight and I can sleep all the way to 10AM.
Once I fall asleep I stay asleep. Before: everything could wake me up.

Depression has messed with my brain in strange ways.

I can pretty much adjust my cycle at will. Example: sunday morning i was to cover half the overnight shift from 3am to 7am. I took melatonin around 7pm and slept from 8pm to 2am. I was up from 2am sunday until 9pm sunday, went to bed at 9 and woke up at 4 this morning= right back on schedule.

melatonin is all natural and works wonders if you need to sleep at an irregular time. When i work full overnights 11p-7a, i take melatonin at 3pm and sleep until 10 pm, then i work the overnight and stay up the whole day. without melatonin i cannot sleep during daylight hours.
