Hello

Silly question from me, I want to upload an image but am not very good with this sort of thing.

How do I know how many pixels are in my image and what size it is?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Bonafan

go on here http://www.shrinkpictures.com/create-avatar/
set the avatar size to whatever it says is allowed on this site (think its 130 or summin) and then upload the picture you want

theres probably an easier way but thats what i did :? ...

I just open 'em in paint and use the stretch/skew thingy.

i resize it in photoshop and then open in imageready which reduces the file size and turns it into a gif. otherwise i kept resizing it but the file size was too big. i'm guessing this won't be helpful though if you're not used to doing this sort of thing.

that shrinkpictures site that OneStepBeyond posted a link to works very nicely and is much easier, as long as you're happy with the avatar being square. set avatar size to 130 pixels (max allowable is 150 h, 130 w - so that will give you 130 x 130)

I use paint as well most of the time. If I was editing a picture anyways I'd use paint.net but it ain't worth the time it takes to load otherwise.
