hey?

i just wondered whether this is a problem that is shared or just me.. ??

my mum and dad pick up on it but i do not notice that i doin it half the time

that is-

laughing after something ive said
if i think something is funny that ive said i laugh after it and my mum says that i should wait for other people to laugh instead of me doing it before they have a chance to.... but i never know if some1 will take what ive said to be funny unless i alugh after it... because i dont take things as funny all the time, unless its completley obvious that it is.
i do it online aswell.. if ive sad something i think is funny i type 'lol' at the end of it..
quotin a post i typed a bit ago...

''ive been caled a walking phone book several times..
i just remeber phone numbers and who or company they belong to.. even if ive just rang it once i can rememer it 4 ever lol
i dont wrie down phone numbers when quoted them over the telephone to leave a message... i just tell my mum when she comes home who rang and the phone number she needs to ring lol

all this remem but i cannot 4 the life of me remeber peoples names (unless theres a phone number to go with them lol)
i dont recognise faces easily at all unless there i some feature that is unusual ie pink mohawk lol''

my parents consider it a problem that i laugh after waht i say but i dont even notice i do it because its automatic.. if something is funny i will laugh at it. even if its what i said or typed myself

Yeah, I laugh at things I say. I laugh when I remember something funny I've said. I laugh when no one is around or when I wasn't talking---that gets weird looks, but I have a movie theater in my brain, and sometimes (okay, a lot of times) funny stuff just pops up and I laugh. I just laugh OUTSIDE the normal context for laughter. I don't mind it. A lot of times it means I'm considered happy because I usually have a smile on my face (although I never notice that I'm smiling until someone points it out. Weird, huh?) Plus, my sense of humor is decidedly different than that of most of the population, so when I laugh, they laugh, if only to make it seem like they got the joke. (Of course, explaining the joke, especially if it's a pun or some other form of literalist humor is practically impossible and usually ends in rolled eyes and some form of "just because you're smart....") Whatever.

As far as LOL and other things like that go, I really do not like the Newspeak and type out EVERYTHING unless it is an acronym like CIA or FBI or AWOL...that's just me, though. Even on text messages on a cell phone I type EVERYTHING out, all while using correct punctuation and capitalization.

I do it too...it is a movie theater in the brain, isn't it?

Also, I have to type everything out as well, even in text messages. I can't even force myself to do that crazy shorthand. I've never had anyone say much about it though.

It depends what I've said really.

If I think what I've said/typed is funny then yeah I suppose I do, or if I have justifiably been a complete b***h or made a cutting comment this amuses me too. I don't get mean with people often though, hence I laugh afterwards if that makes sense.

I laugh or chuckle at my own jokes, but only when alone.

Another thing I do, only when alone, is if I accidentally do something bad, for example burning myself, I swear profusely in a fast gibberish language. It sounds a bit like swearing Jawas :)

Lately I have been laughing while away from the PC for reasons those around me would not know. Sometimes it has to do with what I type.

Sometimes I go into laughing fits for no reason at all really, like imagining the teacher wearing bunny ears.

Its very hard to control my laughter.

This has been very like me. Like when I've been at the cinema, people have talked to me afterwards about the film, and said I was laughing at all the bits that weren't funny.

Ah, I've read over your post properly now and it's about laughing after things you've said. Yes, true for me as well, though with me it's always delayed, rather like echolalia.

Yes, I laugh at myself a lot, sometimes at how pathetic I am, sometimes at my own jokes. I sometimes feel a bit bad about it but shrug that feeling off...it doesn't seem to bother anyone.
