Wild imagination

I am self diagnosed AS, because I took a fair few tests, and I am sure myself; I fit a lot of the criteria. I have obsessions, and stuff.

I have learnt to adapt in social situations a little bit, but nothing real. I don't really have real friends, and chit - chat can be limited, and I don't usually enjoy it.

My Mother always wanted me to be normal; I was only told the other day what my Mum thought, after admitting again to my Sister that I might have it. Well, apparently, my Mum already knew she had an autistic child, so she wanted me to be normal, and she dismissed me as an odd child, apparently. (A bit eccentric).

There is one thing that puzzles me; I'm extremely imaginative and I can picture stuff in my mind, and I am a computer artist. I use my hands when talking.... an awful lot, and people have even taken the mickey out of me for doing it.

So is it impossible to be imaginative and have AS?
