I do. I don't necessarily mean actually planning to commit suicide, just thinking about it in general. For some reason I find it very liberating. It reminds me that I'm alive because I choose to be.

I don't find it enjoyable to think about suicide at all. IN fact it makes me scared. However, when I am in a low mood, I do sometimes find it fascinating to think about things that could kill me.

Well well. In actually doing it NO WAY! Although I've been upset enough to "imagine" different ways. Overall from a research point it's an amazing topic. Did you know the Golden Gate Bridge was the most jumped off bridge!! !! People were going to kill themselves over NEW COKE! and Because Dumbledore died in Half-Blood Prince SOMEONE COMMITED SUICIDE!! !! !! !! Amazing Suicide info. IMO. Come on threatening to kill yourself over Coke changing there flavor or a fictional character dieing I don't tend to swear but in this case WTF! LOL! Sorry to offend. :-)

I often wonder how my family would react to my death lol. When I'm depressed I don't like thinking about it though.

The relationship between life and death in general fascinates me.

No, I don't like it. I think about suicide as a last resort to end the agony of living in misery and being constantly bullied and crushed by people and situations I have no ability to defend against. Its a method of ending the pain, that's all. Like giving a cancer patient an overdose of pain meds - if you can't stop the suffering, at least you can prevent them from having to continue enduring it unnecessarily.

The very notion of ending one's life to 'get back' at others, or make them feel guilty is stupid and immature. If that's why you think about suicide, that's just the emotional equivalent of masturbation.

Even if it worked, humans get over trauma. They'd feel bad for about ten minutes, then they'd start tossing out your stuff. Six months from now they wouldn't even remember your name. And if you're they type who'd resort to such a manipulative attention-whore stunt, why should they?

I think about suicide, because I'd like to write a book, for parents and teens, about suicide prevention, one day. There are so many things wrong with society, that can be turned around, so that there would be no more people in this world, who would want to take their own lives.

That's not why I think about suicide at all. I have nobody close enough to me to want them to feel guilty. As I said, thinking about suicide simply reminds me that I choose to be alive, and it's a great feeling.

I've been there, and I don't want to go back.

I find it helps me cope with life. If there is no way out of a problem, I feel like I just have to do something about it. It's not that I want to die, necessarily; it's just that I don't want to be helpless.

in a way, one chooses to be alive.

life came along without your conscious choice, however.

then one realizes that the nature of consciousness is really impossible.

so why is there death? why not choose it?

why not wait till it chooses you?

No, I don't like thinking about it really. Too depressing. I don't understand why the pic above of the person hanging is funny. It seems rather grim.

Whenever I've thought about the concept of suicide, I've always thought how illogical it is. I mean, if you're willing to kill yourself because of whatever problems you may be having, shouldn't you be just as willing to drop everything and do something crazy and new instead, like move to a new country or something? And if that doesn't work out, you could always kill yourself later. The problem I have with suicide is that it's permanent, and precludes alternative action. From a logical standpoint, it makes no sense.

From a logical standpoint, nothing about existing makes sense.
