I was wondering if this site also offers a place to chat. I am here for my son who has Asperger's Syndrome and would like to get him connected here. It is my honest opinion that the only ones who can truely understand him are those who have Asperger's themselves. He has been very lonely and feels disconnected

How old is he? I wouldn't let him chat there if he's fifteen or under, unless very mature, because there's a lot of drama and most of the people that chat there are older. The forum has a Kid's Crator and an Adolescent Forum, though.

Plus the chat room is filled with trolls and mean behavior.

Perhaps off topic, but I've always been wondering if there's something other than text chatting available? There was a Skype group formed a few months ago, but it's mostly European, nobody's ever on, etc.

I've been in the chat room three times, and I hated it.

yes it kinda died because it did not work how it was intended people couldnt add a group to contacts and join when they pleased my friend was moderator of that room

Perhaps a site like Stickam would work better? It's useful, since anyone can use text, voice, or video at any time, so nobody's limited.
