I ask this because I had rhabdomyoma when I was a child and also show some of the signs of autism.

Hmm... Looked it up.. the term gathers some pretty non specific results in searches....

Can you be more specific as to what anatomy was involved?
(Though from what I have seen, it is likely unconnected with ASDs)

Rhabdomyoma has an association with tuberous sclerosis, according to Wikipedia.

Tuberous sclerosis has effects on many parts of the body, including the central nervous system, and somewhere between 25% and 61% of people with TS meet the diagnostic criteria for autism (again - see Wikipedia article on TS). The only case of TS that I have any knowledge about involved fairly major sensory sensitivity problems.

That is the only link I have found between rhabdomyoma and ASD, but I have no medical qualifications (nor does Wikipedia) so I wouldn't bet my life on that information.

Unless you have TS, I wouldn't expect rhabdomyoma to have any connection to ASD in your case.

Disclaimer: this is guesswork based on Wikipedia, it is not medical advice.
