Can certain NT's just "sap" all of your energy?

People who want to make above average eye contact are exhausting to be around, even if I dont look them in the face.

Very much so....i'd say MOST NT's sap all my energy. In that sense, they are psychic vampires although most are not engaging in intentional psychic vampirism. It's very difficult to be around NT's who are always talking about petty things like food and gossipy stuff for one thing. For another, many of them seem to feel the need to be laughing and joking all the time over very predictable and common events/situations that I don't find amusing in the least. They laugh at the typical behavior of little kids for example. I don't see why that's so uproariously funny. Little kids pretty much all do the same things and at what point are these things no longer amusing?

I mean look at most contemporary American movies and you'll understand why NT's sap my energy. 99.9% of them are the same tiresome crap. Slasher and "horror" films which are about as unpredicatable and scary as a puppy dog. Braindead and sentimental "chick flicks" which even alot of "chicks" can't stomach. Comedies which are about as funny as a crutch and depend on the same boring and vulgar nonsense which has appealed to adolescents for decades and obviously to adults forever stuck in adolescence. Action/Drama films in which yet another bus blows up and the hero somehow survives the inferno unscathed. Then he/she proceeds to make some catchy remark like "make my day" which then becomes an overused cultural idiom. Or....there's always the infantile idiocy based upon some dumb comic book or something like "Kick a**". What a piece of work that movie was...lol!! ! A bunch of masked superheroes beating the crap out of the villains. Gee how original

Such is the reflection of the general NT mentality in comtemporary America. The fundamental mindless, mundane, meaningless, nihilistic, hyper-sexualized, sadistic and unspeakably redundant nature of it all is what saps my energy.

and what about the fashion [email protected] cant come up with anything origional anymore...its either, 20's, 50's, 60's, 70's and much to my horror...80's
There is no 2000-2010 fashion it has all be a recreation of earlier fashion trends...the Nt's have run out of ways to dominate what ppl wear, now they are "recycling ideas"

I have to agree with you on the movie industry...its pretty overused, rehashed and unorigional.
although I have seen some that are really creative, but they barely noticed by the general public.

The one thing I cant stand about nt's is their need for control and domination...whether it is dominating a conversation, a family, a school, a city, a state, a country, a planet....it is really bothersome in the least...and insanely cruel at the most.

My mother blames Hollywood (even old time hollywood) for giving women an idealized, unrealistic and sentimental view of what romantic relationships are often like. You may not agree with her assessment here, but I would kindly ask you not to shoot the messenger. I personally don't even have much of an opinion on the matter. Such things don't interest me enough to allow the thought required to formulate a meaningful opinion about them.

Well, some NTs have a habit of using a great deal of non-verbal and non-linguistic communication; and it can be exhausting to try to pull meaning from it because the words themselves are often quite vague. So, yeah, I guess that can be draining. It's basically the communication style least suited to an autistic person who is focused on words.

But then, an autistic person who is better with non-verbal communication than with words might actually prefer trying to communicate to NTs with this kind of style, so it's certainly not a hard-and-fast rule.

I don't know NT or not, but Society has already
drained most of me for life, I feel disabled a big
part by society, and I feel like I am still fading,
I want an email cient, but it all is going to
"web browsing email", I don't want to read
my email with a gd web browser I want my
email client, unless of course I am traveling.

I also agree with jojobean on the controlling
krap, society wants to boss boss boss boss me
around all the dang time, its nobne of their dang
bizzness what I do with my life. I will often defy
them on purpose, get their underwears in a twist
and then call them poopyface.

I dress 35 years out of style, I wear Pooh and Tigger
like it was 1973.

I think that happens to me when the NT continuously frames the conversation so you have to keep changing ya train of thought. I think it saps my energy because I don't like "feeling close" to someone I don't trust. However, if with someone I like, think I could get used to it.

Mozilla Thunderbird is still an independent email program, not web-based. It's also free.

Some of them do. The ones that I expect to get the most understanding from, who give me the least. I'm in the spare bedroom, on my netbook, with my headphones on, with the door closed. I'm exhausted. I just want to go home. I won't be going to my volunteer job. I don't have the energy.
