Best Apps for Scheduling and Reminders?
Hi,
I'm looking into various iPhone / Mac apps relating to prioritizing and following through with tasks, creating reminders etc. At the moment I use the "Reminder" app and iCal, but I'd like to find a better solution (preferably an app that can sync over iCloud). Personally, I'm looking for something that has most of the following qualities / features:
1) VERY simple visual interface -- less clutter and an easy, quick way to add reminders / tasks.
2) A way to break down goals (reminders) into sub-tasks (ex: going to the doctor's office might require that I 1) call the office to confirm my appointment 2) drive to the gas station to fill up my gas tank 3) continue driving to the doctor's office 4) find a parking lot to park my car 5) check-in with the concierge 6) remember to go to a pharmacy afterwards to fill a prescription).
3) Prioritize certain tasks over others (in a simple manner). iCal lets you color-code reminders but I find it to be a bit tedious.
4) Automatically send me a text message (SMS) or call my phone to remind me to move on to the next task. This feature would be nice but not entirely necessary.
5) Somehow integrate with iCloud reminders or CalDav. Not necessary if it already syncs over Dropbox or its own proprietary system.
6) Both an iPhone app and a complimentary Mac app.
Here is a list of iPhone / Mac apps that are supposed to help with organization / task planning. I've tried a couple of them but so far they don't seem to help me much. Has anyone tried any of these apps? If so, did they help you? Are there any other apps that you recommend?
