I Have tried to "meditate" to calm down or whatever but i cannot sit still or stop moving or quiet my mind.
My question is: Have you ever tried meditation?
And did it work at all for you?
Or was it just to wierd?

Yes, and I find it relaxing. For someone like you, try yoga.

Meditation is a great way to get rid of stress, anxiety or anything that's on your mind.

Sometimes during meditation, you get this real strong sense of positiveness and goodness about yourself.

A tip I would say is if you have your eyes closed, try let the darkness suck you in, it's like going into a sleep kind of mode, but not quite the same as sleeping.

Yes.

Yes.

It takes practice, especially if you are used to being active at all times. Keep practicing.

i was once advised by a buddhist to meditate. i asked him how to do it, and he said i should find a quiet place and relax and think about nothing.

so i found a quiet place and i relaxed (both easy) and then i thought about nothing.
that was very difficult to do because "nothing" does not exist.

there is no such thing as "nothing", so how can i think about it?
i tried for ages to determine what "nothing" was, but i always arrived at the conclusion that "nothing" does not exist.

i spent hours thinking in circles trying to formulate an idea of "nothing", but any idea i came up with, i realized upon reassessment, was an idea of "something".

i gave up because it was too exhausting trying to think about "nothing".

I meditate and it "works" very well for me. It definitely takes practice, though. I think the more you do it, the more you get out of it. If you're having trouble calming your mind, perhaps try focusing on something, like your breath.

yeah, many meditation techniques utilize breathing patterns and mantras just for that purpose.

Pacing or walking meditation is my favourite.
