when I worked in telephone surveys, I learned that sales psychologits wrote many of the scripts that convince people to cooperate on the telephone. Could a sales psychologist write scripts for specific life situations to get a desirable result?

How to I interview a doctor to know if they are one that cares?
How to word health care questions so that I get access to care - not just get labled "difficult"

I can imagin countless situations that I would prefer to know "what the right thing to say" is.

I have also considered that perhaps my speaking at all is the problem, that if my Dx is "untreatable and incurable" that perhaps I should just not speak because what ever comes out of my mouth will be ill recieved and may not achieve me the result I am after anyway.

perhaps for me speaking is pointless and I may need a health care aid to act as a translator to the socially motivated.

My boss had a book called Social Stories in his office. One day I picked it up to leaf through (work is a very relaxed atmosphere

btw) and the very first thing I see is a script for how to get your employee to agree to work more for less money. And I

thought he was exploring his inner being.

If you Google it you may find it. I don't know if it's specifically just a how-to manual for employers wishing to screw over their

employees.

Yes. But like sales scripts, they won't always work.

Are you sure that's the title - all the "Social Stories" books on amazon are about getting autistics to do what they're supposed to, I need a book about getting Nt's to cooperate, do their jobs, grow that lobe that functions for "careing" etc . . . :)
