Cognitive Screening Test

Anyone ever seen this test? I did a quick search for the URL on WP and didn't find anything so I presume no one has ever posted this one:

I found it incredibly revealing. My results didn't surprise me much:

Verbal Memory:

Percentile: 32 (Average)

Executive Function:

Percentile: 1 (Very Low)

No wonder I get so lost talking to doctors!

Verbal Memory:

Low

Executive Functioning:

Average

Really interesting test.

Verbal Memory

Percentile 19 - Low Average

Executive Functioning

Percentile 16 - Low Average

Verbal Memory:

Percentile: 6 (Low)

Executive Function:

Percentile: 27 (Average)

55 verbal
38 executive

Uhh, yay?

Verbal Memory Percentile 79 (above average)
Executive Functioning Percentile 32 (average)

Did a lot better than I imagined I would.

Verbal Memory:

88% percentile (above average)

Executive Functioning:

1% percentile (very low)

Looks like this might be a good test to either take with a large grain of salt or take several times over at different times and average the results. I took it a second time just to see and got very different results this time:

Verbal Memory:

Percentile: 3 (Low)

Executive Functioning:

Percentile: 23 (Low Average)

Quite a bit different from the first time.

Maybe it just shows how inconsistent my functioning is in reality.

These results are consistent with professionally administered testing. I doubt that my memory is really that badly impaired. I think it is mainly that way for things that do not interest me.

Wornlight.....i'd like to know if you have any information on this memory disorders clinic at UF. I live in Ft. Lauderdale, so I might have to contact them. I believe I have a serious memory problem which has not yet been objectively confirmed by any of six neuropsychological evaluations i've taken in my life. I like to know how much it would cost to be evaulated at this clinic and exactly what tests would be involved.

The testing I was referring to was administered by a psychologist in Westport, CT and I had other testing at Hartford Hospital.

Verbal memory: Above Average (79th percentile)

Executive Function: Low Average (19th percentile)

Verbal Memory: 88th Percentile (above average)
Executive Functioning: 40th Percentile (average)

Better than I'd have expected. If I'd been asked to type in the words rather than recognize them, or to remember spoken words, I think I'd have done phenomenally poorly on the verbal part.

I've taken it several times today at different times, and am surprised at how much variance there has been. Mostly low scores, but once scored very low on both, then average on both a half hour later.

I noticed though, that the fifteen words never changes. They say it's random but it isn't random at all. Even so I noticed my score changes pretty much in line with times of the day that I feel more or less functional overall.

They do say to take it multiple times to get a better idea of overall functioning.

Gotcha. I contacted this memory disorders clinic today. They told me they could offer me an evaluation for $350.00. The initial evaluation only entails a consultation and no actual memory (or any other psychometric tests) are administered. I'm not willing to drive all the way to Gainsville and spend $350.00 just for something like this. I might still consider it if they offer some sort of memory tests beyond the ones i've already taken (none of which suggested any memory disorder/s beyond some deficits in visual memory which are very common for people with NVLD/AS anyway) on the many neuropsychological evaluations i've had.


At any rate....i've taken this particular cognitive screening test before and there is no need to retake it.

All I know is that I scored in the 77th percentile (high average) for verbal memory and in the impaired or borderline range on executive functioning the first time I took.

I took it several other times and did much better on executive functioning and about the same (give/take) on verbal memory.
