On the outside it seems like with arguments I blow them off and think ok whatever NEXT (although deep down I'm really hurting from them) but I come off as oh no big deal. Is any else here like this? Sure on the outside I blow the fact that we argued off but deep deep down I'm thinking of what was discussed years later. :-(

Yes. I think about arguments for what seems like forever, after they are done with. However, I don't seem like I'm fine externally; people can typically tell that I'm still upset about it.

arguing with people, can really get to me. :(

i always tend to kind of freeze up, and dont make any of my strong points on the issue.
the other person usually states his opinion and i pretend to go along with it because i'm too busy struggling to organize my thoughts to actually make a decent comeback.

and for the next few days, i go over the argument in my head (even out loud to myself), and think of things i should have said.

it sucks. :?

I think about arguments, for years after they happen. I don't like getting into them, in the first place. I don't like confrontation of any kind, so I just keep quiet and keep to myself. I wish that I wouldn't hold on to such words, for such a long time. I could spend my time, on better things.

I still remember my ex's arguments and how he wanted me to agree with him or else he wouldn't drop the topic. I would pretend to agree with him to shut him up or threaten to scream at him to shut him up. God he was so annoying and he saw it as running away from my problems but I told him he cannot change peoples opinions and everyone is entitled to theirs.

I once got into an argument with one of my online friends and I blocked her because she was wrong about something and was going "You can't change my mind" and I really hate bragging modes and arrogance. So I had her blocked for a week. Then a few weeks later she saw my post on another forum about her and blamed it on her Bipolar.

From the time I first learned to talk, my parents have always said I should be an attorney when I grew up. My dad always says I would argue with a dead man. I'm so argumentive, I get into physical fights if the other person refuses to acknoledge what I am saying or keeps going on about how vivesection is necassary and how Peta is nothing but a bunch of trouble makers. If I don't get accepted into vet school and don't commit sucide as a result first, I'm joining the ALF.

It depends on what kind of argument it is. If it's a heated argument, I retreat into my room and recharge in solitude. If I classify it as a logical or philosophical argument, or debate, I usually enjoy it and don't need to get over it.

Does it make any sense when someone says they clocked someone? It's an obvious typo. I fixed it.

Yes. To clock someone is to punch them.

Oh sorry. I didn't know the term.

That explains the question. But seriously, how do you punch someone online?

I forget arguments very quickly. Not on purpose, but it's like my mind just moves on, as though the argument just didn't matter that much. I don't hold grudges either, but it's because I'm so freakin' forgetful!
