I have to admit, I am terrible when it comes to judging other people's intentions/emotions. What I'm wondering is do any of you have poor self judgement? For example, I will study extremely hard for a test, take it, and then spend the next couple days crying knowing I failed. Then come to find out, I get an A or a B. This isn't just a one time thing either...and it doesn't just apply to school. It happens all the time. I'm driving myself crazy. Is this an aspie trait or something else?

:)

I used to do that... The reason why you underestimate your skills is because aspies often have higher verbal intelligence than performance intelligence so I reckon when you're in class you probably feel that other people know more than you and are better at the subject area but when it comes to writing it down in essays and exams you probably have the advantage.

I have been convinced I failed so many things and then passed, although with project work some of my passes have been literally scraping through.

Also I have been told several times in terms of social skills that I don't come across as bad as I think I do... But then on the flip side to that I've been told a lot lately that I'm anti social!

I'd say in general people who are anxious would be inclined to underestimate their abilities whereas people who are confident might even be inclined to overestimate?

Its definitely annoying! :)

I'm the same way. I have a bad habit of assuming the worst
